    Asbestos Removal Steps

When it comes to asbestos removal, it’s important to trust professionals. At PCAM Services – Emergency Restoration Service, we have a well-defined process that considers every possible safety precaution. Here are the steps we take:

    Step 1: Identification

The first step is to know where the asbestos is located and what type of asbestos it is. This can be done through a visual inspection or by taking samples of the material in question.

    Step 2: Removal

Once the asbestos has been identified, the next step is to remove it from the affected area. Asbestos removal can be done via different methods, such as wetting the asbestos before removal, using a HEPA vacuum to remove airborne asbestos fibers, or using a negative air machine to keep asbestos fibers from spreading.

    Step 3: Encapsulation

In some cases, removing all of the asbestos might not be possible. In these cases, the asbestos can be encapsulated, which means it is covered with a sealant that will prevent asbestos fibers from becoming airborne.

Step 4: Disposal and Final cleanup

After the asbestos removal process is complete, it is important to safely dispose of the removed materials. Our asbestos removal team will first seal the removed asbestos-containing materials in special plastic bags or containers. We will then transport the sealed bags to a special landfill where asbestos can be safely disposed of.

Finally, our cleanup team will thoroughly clean the area where the asbestos removal took place. This will include vacuuming the surrounding areas, cleaning debris, and wiping surfaces. This will help to minimize the spread of asbestos fibers and keep the work environment safe for future operations.

Asbestos removal can seem like a daunting task, but with the right knowledge, it’s a process that can be completed safely and effectively.

When it comes to asbestos removal, time is of the essence. The longer asbestos fibers are left in place, the greater the health risk to those living or working in the area.

We had some water damage down in our basement due to a recent rain and a blocked drain. It backed up into our home and ruined the carpet and drywall. As a result, we need the carpet replaced even after having the carpet cleaning done it wasn't enough. PCAM came and replaced the carpet and did some... drywall repair. It looks awesome! Thank you more

PCAM has been my go to company for all my repair, remediation and construction needs. As a property manager, they do the three things I value most. They are super responsive, I can call 24/7. They are great at communicating. I know what is going on and when. They also take the time to... educate and answer my questions. Lastly, they are reasonably priced and transparent about what you are paying for. The bonus is they employ really nice people who care about what they do. I would give 10 stars if more

I met Corey and his team at PCAM Services this Spring after experiencing some flooding in my condo one Sunday morning. He came in and surveyed the damage (which was limited, fortunately) and also identified other damage done due to a leaky roof around a door frame. After the plumbers were called... and the original problem was fixed, he and his team were available to begin repairs on my ceiling and door frame. I felt comfortable leaving members of his team to work alone in my home for several weeks while I was at work and even out of town. They were trustworthy (as a single woman, that’s important) and communicated with me via text and/or phone calls at the end of each day about what needed to be done next. I’m very pleased with the results of their work, as are others who have worked with PCAM on similar (but more extensive) projects in our neighborhood. Corey and his team arrived on time each morning, were professional and respected my home and the belongings in it. They are knowledgeable about the construction process and bring many years of experience to the job, having recently relocated to Boise from Seattle. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Corey and PCAM again for any repairs I might need to have done around my more

A water leak from the condo above ours caused considerable damage in our home. PCAM was quick to respond and dry out the water. Then came the repairs to ceilings and walls. They worked hard to do the removal and repairs. Jill oversaw the work, and Randy did most of the work. Both were... friendly, helpful, and professional. Floors were damaged also, and the company arranged for a flooring company to repair and upgrade the floor. We have been very pleased with the quality of the work and of the staff of PCAM. We would highly recommend this more
